In 2022, I was sifting through emails and saw a message about season tickets at ASU Gammage. I had never held season tickets to anything before but after looking at the price tiers, I bought two season passes. Over the 2022-2023 season, Max and I saw SIX, To Kill a Mockingbird, Jesus Christ Superstar, Disney’s Frozen, A Soldier’s Play, Hairspray, Beetlejuice and Annie. We opted for the cheapest seats exclusively for Saturday matinee shows, which were tight but still had a great view – and better yet, a fantastic time.
We weren't drawn to the shows in the 2023-2024 lineup and decided to forego our season tickets but with the newest 2024-2025 ASU Gammage lineup, I added myself to the waitlist as soon as I could!
2024-2025 Gammage Season LineUp
The 2024-2025 Gammage season lineup includes one ticket to each of the following eight shows:
GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY - Aug. 20–25, 2024
MRS. DOUBTFIRE - Sept. 17–22, 2024
FUNNY GIRL - Oct. 15–20, 2024
KIMBERLY AKIMBO - Dec. 3–8, 2024
SOME LIKE IT HOT- Feb. 11–16, 2025
WICKED - March 4–30, 2025
LIFE OF PI - June 17–22, 2025
MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL- July 22– Aug. 3, 2025
With this stellar lineup of shows, pricing has been updated to reflect that, with all tickets nearly $100-$300 more expensive than they were the last time I purchased. We were hoping to snag seats in the C Level this season, but one ticket is about what we spent on both two years ago. I’ll have to think on this one for sure.
2024-2025 Gammage Season Package Pricing
However, applying some girl math here, the C-Level tickets shakeout to $66 - $74 a show, so it is not a bad deal in that sense. Plus, as a season ticket holder you get a parking pass for every show and a few other perks.
While I decide which seats I want, learn more about the productions coming to Tempe, Arizona:
GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY - Aug. 20–25, 2024
GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY reimagines 20 legendary songs of Bob Dylan as they’ve never been heard before, including "Forever Young," "All Along The Watchtower," "Hurricane," "Slow Train Coming," and "Like A Rolling Stone." It’s 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota. We meet a group of wayward travelers whose lives intersect in a guesthouse filled with music, life and hope.
MRS. DOUBTFIRE - Sept. 17–22, 2024
Mrs. Doubtfire features Daniel Hillard, a struggling, out-of-work actor, who will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the kindly alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father. Critics say it is a hilarious and heartfelt story about holding onto your loved ones against all odds.
FUNNY GIRL- Oct. 15–20, 2024
This bittersweet comedy is the story of the indomitable Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage. Everyone told her she’d never be a star, but then something funny happened—she became one of the most beloved performers in history, shining brighter than the brightest lights of Broadway.
I was lucky enough to see this on Broadway in New York City with Lea Michele leading as Fanny Brice and it was phenomenal. I knew the classic songs from this production but truly knew nothing of the story. I am thrilled to see this production again for the story, the jokes and the COSTUMES! The costumes are truly a sight to see in this love letter to the theatre.
KIMBERLY AKIMBO - Dec. 3–8, 2024
Kimberly is about to turn 16 and recently moved with her family to a new town in suburban New Jersey. In this “howlingly funny heartbreaker of a show” (The New Yorker), Kim is forced to navigate family dysfunction, a rare genetic condition, her first crush…and possible felony charges. Ever the optimist, she is determined to find happiness against all odds and embark on a great adventure.
SOME LIKE IT HOT- Feb. 11–16, 2025
Set in Chicago when Prohibition has everyone thirsty for a little excitement, SOME LIKE IT HOT is the “glorious, big, high-kicking” (Associated Press) story of two musicians forced to flee the Windy City after witnessing a mob hit. With gangsters hot on their heels, they catch a cross-country train for the life-chasing, life-changing trip of a lifetime.
WICKED- March 4–30, 2025
So much happened before Dorothy dropped in. Wicked looks at what happened in the land of Oz – but from a different angle. There is a young woman, born with emerald-green skin – smart, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships, until the world decides to call one good and the other one wicked.
In 2011, I was gifted Wicked tickets and that really opened my mind to the possibilities of the stage. It was the first professional production I had seen on stage and the grandness of the voices, sets, costumes and makeup blew me away. I cannot wait to see this iconic show once again.
LIFE OF PI- June 17–22, 2025
Life of Pi is an the epic tale of adventure. After a shipwreck in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, a sixteen-year-old boy named Pi survives on a lifeboat with four companions— a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Royal Bengal tiger. A truly remarkable story unfolds of hope, faith, and perseverance that speaks to every generation. Told through incomparable puppetry and exquisite stagecraft, Life of Pi creates a visually breathtaking journey that will leave you filled with awe and joy.
MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL- July 22– Aug. 3, 2025
Enter a world of splendor and romance, of eye-popping excess, of glitz, grandeur, and glory! A world where Bohemians and aristocrats rub elbows and revel in electrifying enchantment. Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film comes to life onstage, remixed in a new musical mash-up extravaganza. The musical is a theatrical celebration of Truth, Beauty, Freedom, and — above all — Love.
MAMMA MIA! is not included in the 8-show season ticket package.
I will still be purchasing tickets to see MAMMA MIA! As a fervent viewer of both movies, I cannot wait to see this show live.
A mother. A daughter. 3 possible dads. And a trip down the aisle you’ll never forget!
Set on a Greek island paradise where the sun always shines, a tale of love, friendship, and identity is beautifully told through the timeless hits of ABBA. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the father she’s never known brings 3 men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited decades ago. For nearly 25 years, people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story, and the music that make MAMMA MIA! the ultimate feel-good show.
Why I Love Theater and Going to Gammage
I have always been a theater lover. High School Musical was IT for me when it launched in 2006. I longed to be Sharpay, queen of her theater program, driving the content and musical themes of each show.
In 2011, I was gifted Wicked tickets and that really opened my mind to the possibilities of the stage. From there, I saw small productions of Annie (truly one of my all time favorite musicals), Into the Woods, The Color Purple, The Book of Mormon and many other productions at Popejoy Theater in New Mexico.
I was always told I would do great in theater – What? Like I’m dramatic or something? – and finally got into the drama program in high school my junior year. My participation opened up an entirely new respect for the stage that I already loved so much.

We opted for the cheapest seats exclusively for Saturday matinee shows, which were tight but still had a great view. While I was not personally impressed with the 2023-2024 lineup and did not renew, I simply cannot wait for this upcoming season!
